Djinn-kin
These are typically powerful supernatural beings or spirits who are usually bound to specific objects or places unless released by their masters.
Djinn are sometimes also called Genies or just Jinn.
They are immortal, nearly impossible to kill. However, the vast majority of their power is tied to the object or place to which they are bound. If the place or object is destroyed it can force the Djinn into a incorporeal weakened existence. They may linger in that state for centuries until they are discovered and bound to a new object or place.
Djinn vary widely in their overall level of power, often depending on their age. They also span a wide variety of personalities. Some are social beings, others can be moody or even resentful of being bound.
Generally they will take on the basic appearance of a humanoid being when summoned by their masters. However, the exact form will vary based on their experiences and preferences.
Djinn can be freed if their master wishes it, but this rarely happens since most masters prefer to keep the power the Djinn's offer under their control.
Those who are freed exist very much like free spirits, they may choose to manifest a physical form and live among mortals or they may choose to exist on a more spiritual plane of existence.
